Job Title: Structural EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join a full-service, award-winning architectural, engineering, and construction management firm located in Northern Virginia. This dynamic company, established in 1985, offers a diverse range of services to both public and private sector clients. This position supports the Structural Division and involves designing building structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. This is a career position with opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities + Prepare comprehensive construction documents for various projects. + Draft and design building structures, utilizing skills in AutoCAD and Revit. + Perform structural steel design and ensure compliance with safety and economic specifications. + Design structures to withstand internal and external forces, selecting appropriate materials and reinforcements. Essential Skills + Degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. + 4+ years of experience in structural engineering related to building designs. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit. + E.I.T Certification. + Ability to interpret and compile complete sets of construction documents. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Design experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. + Knowledge of civil engineering principles. + Experience in drafting and commercial building design.
