We are seeking an early career chemist or material scientist for our Research and Development (R&D) team. As a member of the R&D team, you will work in a creative and collaborative atmosphere developing new colored inorganic pigments or other mixed-metal-oxide materials. You must have a major GPA of 3.0 or above and attach a copy of your transcripts to your online application.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Carry out experimental work assigned by the Specialty Technology Manager or R&D Manager
  • Work on scale-up of new products as assigned
  • Interact closely with team to coordinate activities, communicate results, and plan future experiments
  • Maintain appropriate records of work carried out
  • Interact with other departments including Analytical, Quality Assurance, Production, Process Engineering, Marketing and Sales, as necessary
  • Participate in interdisciplinary quality teams to maintain world class production processes
  • Practice safe laboratory work habits and maintain a safe and tidy work area


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or materials science is required
  • Some lab experience and a good understanding of good laboratory practices is important
