You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects to meet our clients' needs and contribute to the growth and success of Black & Veatch. You will be assigned to a functional area in: Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Power System Studies, Renewables, Conventional Generation, Gas Fuels and Chemicals, Nuclear, Mining, Water/Wastewater, Telecom/Electric Vehicle Charging, or Data Centers. **Responsibilities** + Understand departmental design guides, engineering codes, standards, and company policies. + Assist in producing less complex electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and limited-scope studies. + Complete routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and material selection. + Collect, manage, and assimilate engineering data for projects. + Prepare fundamental power system analysis and electrical component sizing calculations based on established engineering principles. + Adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. + Understand internal client needs and external client interests. **Preferred Qualifications** + Coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations. + Previous internship experience. + Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides and standards. + Insights of industry trends and developing technologies. + Fundamental knowledge of construction practices and principles. + Skilled in Problem Solving, Written Communication, Informing, and Peer Relationships. **Minimum Qualifications** No experience required. Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
