We are seeking an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic individual to provide engaging support and facilitate meaningful activities in both center-based and community-based day programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will help individuals develop new skills, build connections, and achieve personal goals in a structured and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Activities: Plan and lead center-based activities such as sensory exploration, music, vocational skill-building, science experiments, and art projects to promote personal growth and engagement.

  • Promote Community Participation: Coordinate and supervise community outings, including trips to parks, museums, recreational centers, and other local attractions to encourage social development and community inclusion.

  • Support Daily Needs: Assist individuals with hygiene care, meal preparation, and other daily living activities as needed to ensure comfort and well-being.

  • Skill Development: Provide training in life skills, communication, and emotional/social development to help individuals achieve greater independence.

  • Transportation: Safely transport individuals to and from program activities and outings while ensuring a positive experience.

  • Health and Safety: Monitor individuals’ safety during activities and outings and provide assistance with medical care, including appointments and medication administration, as needed.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily activities, progress notes, and any medical information.

  • Flexible Programming: Adapt activities to meet the needs and preferences of individuals while maintaining a supportive 1:5–6 staff-to-client ratio.

Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with IDD through engaging activities, community involvement, and personalized support that fosters independence and inclusion.

Why You’ll Love It:

  • You’ll get to hang out with an awesome group of people every day.

  • You’ll have the chance to plan and do cool stuff in a way that’s never boring.

  • You’ll help others grow their confidence, independence, and social circles while making memories that last a lifetime.

Make a difference in the lives of individuals with IDD by fostering meaningful relationships, enhancing community connections, and empowering personal growth in both residential and community settings.

What It Takes to Be a Rockstar Candidate:

Reliable Transportation: You have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

Education: You’ve completed high school or have a GED.

Experience Preferred: Some understanding or experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a bonus.

If you’re dependable, enthusiastic, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you join the team!

Minimum Physical Expectations for This Role:

  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance, to support client mobility and comfort.

  • Frequent physical activity, including bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing, to assist with daily tasks and activities.

  • Capacity to provide hands-on assistance during restroom routines, including transfers and hygiene support.

  • Physical stamina to actively engage in community outings and recreational activities with clients.
