Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced  CNC Machine Operator  to join our team in Pryor, OK. The  CNC Machine Operator  will be responsible for producing machined parts by  programming ,  setting up , and  operating computer numerical control machines . This role requires reviewing setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedures, machining sequences, and dimensions to meet precise production requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Write programs in the language of the machine’s controller and store programs on appropriate media.
• Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the correct cutting tools.
• Revise programs to eliminate errors and retest to ensure correct output.
• Analyze  job orders, drawings, blueprints , and specifications to calculate dimensions, tooling, machine speeds, and feed rates.
• Create instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and machine operation.
• Conduct trial runs or simulations to ensure machinery produces items meeting specifications.
• Modify existing programs to improve efficiency.
• Set up and operate  CNC machines to cut, shape, or form metal workpieces to specification.
• Attach fixtures, position tool holders, and insert cutting tools according to setup instructions.
• Monitor operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform  preventative maintenance or minor repairs on machines.
• Inspect finished parts using  precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist with training of new operators.
• Maintain accurate production records using the Job Tracker Program.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of  CNC experience preferred.
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines.
• Skilled in using  precision measuring tools and performing quality checks.
• Strong ability to read and interpret  blueprints and part programs.
• Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, and database software.
• Proficiency with machine tools and precision measuring devices.
• Strong  math skills , including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Required Skills:

• Attention to detail – thorough and accurate in completing tasks.
• Analytical thinking – logical approach to problem-solving.
• Mechanical knowledge – understanding machine designs, usage, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong reading comprehension for technical documentation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.+as needed.
• Ability to  stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a  non-climate-controlled environment .
