R.D. Mishra
RD Misra is a Lawyer by profession at Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court. He is the Manger/Secretary of Ram Dutt Seva Sansthan, the society that governs Gurukul Public School. He did his schooling at the primary and secondary government schools in the village but then moved to Lucknow for higher studies. So very early in his life he understood the importance of education in one’s life and how it could change the life trajectory of an individual. Although he comes from a rural background, he made sure that all his 3 daughters get good education. Now through Gurukul he wants to spread the gift of good education to many more children in the rural areas.
Shashank Shekhar Shukla
Shashank is alum of the Harvard Kennedy School where he did his MPA as a Mason Fellow and is currently pursuing his PhD in Economics from IIM-Lucknow. Shashank has a varied experience that includes his training as an Air Force Cadet in the National Defense Academy, his corporate stint as a consultant for nearly a decade, as an activist working with the Supreme Court commissioners and as a Teach For India fellow, as an edupreneur in his capacity of Founding Chairman of Gurukul Group of Institutions and now as a Socio-Political activist working at the intersection of social issues, politics and social entrepreneurship.
Pooja Mishra
Pooja Mishra started her career as an Engineer with Infosys Technologies Ltd and was working in US for close to 6 years before joining IIM Calcutta. Post her graduation she opted out of the placement process at IIMC to work for the underprivileged rural children and founded Gurukul Group of Institutions that has impacted the lives of more than 5000 children so far. She is one of the 7 people selected from the country for the Indian School Leadership Institute that trains the school leaders in collaboration with Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) Schools USA. She is also the recipient of the Youth Icon award, NEN TATA First Dot award and is a Cherrie Blair Fellow. Her work is featured in Femina, Hindustan Times, Zee News, Big FM, BetterIndia and Your Story
